The schedule is Monday through Friday with a start time of 5:00 AM and a typical end time of 1:30 PM; however candidates must be flexible to stay later if business needs require pay rate for this position is $22.00/hour. These positions will be long term assignments and we are unsure of the duration of the assignment. There is a potential for hire but not guaranteed as we do not have approval to add more staff however that could change later. We would like them to start as soon as possible:PurposeUnder general supervision the Paint Prepper performs a variety of support duties within the Paint Department to ensure equipment and components are properly prepared for the painting Job FunctionsClean mask and sand units in preparation for finished units clean surfaces and load spare parts after the drying process is sanding primer using a spray gun as and unload spare parts tools and boom hoses from slurry parts to final preparation areas and/or paint a clean and organized work area while following department procedures and safety additional duties as assigned by : Duties and responsibilities may be added removed or modified at the discretion of management either formally or informally in writing or DemandsPerform work on the production floor 100% of the up to 50 pounds as to stand bend reach and move throughout the production area during the / Skills / ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent 12 years of experience as a detailer or prep technician in a paint or auto body shop environment attention to detail and ability to follow established forklift operator or ability to successfully complete Schwing forklift to follow safety procedures and departmental work instructions.
