Job Description

Responsibilities/essential functions : The person in this position must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

  • Follows the instructions of the PAS Supervisor in providing personal assistance services.*
  • Provide assistance with hygiene such as bathing, oral care, and dressing.*
  • Assist with food preparation; serve food, performs errands, light house keeping, laundry, wash dishes.*
  • Perform and record accurate measurements (i.e. vital signs, or intake/output as instructed in the care plans). *
  • Observe and report any safety hazards found in the clients home or any significant observations regarding the client.*
  • Attend staff meetings, attend/complete 12 hours of annual in-services, and participates in orientation of new employees. *
  • Report client complaints to the PAS Supervisor. *
  • Maintain client confidentiality/adheres to HIPAA requirements and agency policy and procedures manual. *
  • Possess the ability to follow written and oral instructions. *
  • Report abnormal findings in clients conditions as observed and per care plan to RN. *

  • Previous experience as a PCA, caregiver, or in a related field (preferred but not required)

  • Ability to follow care plans and maintain clear communication

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if travel is required)

  • Clear background check and eligibility to work in the U.S

  • Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills
