The Chalet represents our newest luxury mountain venture in Aspen, a high-stakes resort environment focused on "mountain luxury" where design standards and operational complexity meet to create an adventure-driven yet tranquil guest experience.

The Role

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on General Manager to lead the pre-opening and ongoing operations of The Chalet. As the primary leader on the ground, you will be responsible for defining the property’s culture, overseeing a multi-disciplinary team, and ensuring the owner’s vision translates into a world-class guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Development: Lead recruitment, training, and mentoring for the management team and staff to build a high-performing, service-oriented culture.
  • Brand Integrity: Ensure all service standards, culinary offerings, and guest interactions reflect the MML brand and "The Chalet" concept.
  • Community Relations: Act as a brand ambassador within the Aspen market, building relationships with local property managers, authorities (APCHA), and community stakeholders.
  • Operational Excellence: Maintain regulatory compliance, health and safety standards, and facilities maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 10+ years of leadership in luxury hospitality, with significant experience in high-volume mountain resort environments.
  • Pre-Opening Expertise: Proven track record of leading hotel or restaurant openings, including staffing and SOP development.
  • Leadership: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead diverse teams under pressure.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or Business preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial reporting, P&L analysis, and hospitality management software (e.g., Restaurant 365, POS systems).

What MML Hospitality Offers

  • Total Compensation: $225,000 - $250,000
  • Bonus Potential
  • Paid Time Off
  • MML Property Discounts (Hotel, Restaurant, Retail)
  • Beverage Education Reimbursement
  • Advancement and Promotion Opportunities
  • Community Service Opportunities
  • Relocation Assistance
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, and Pet Insurance
  • Retirement Benefits
  • Parental Leave

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the property for extended periods.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Regularly required to talk, hear, and use hands/fingers to handle tools or controls.
  • Vision requirements include close, distance, and color vision, as well as the ability to adjust focus.

If an offer is accepted for this position, you must undergo a comprehensive background check. This process may include verification of employment history, education credentials, criminal records, and other relevant information.
