Job Summary:

The Interventional Radiology professional will provide specialized radiologic and cardiologic care in an acute care hospital setting. This role requires skilled performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, and adherence to hospital protocols. The position demands weekend availability and on-call participation to support patient care needs in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform interventional radiology and cardiology procedures in an acute care setting.
• Provide patient care consistent with hospital policies and safety standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient management.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the Epic charting system.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols, including appropriate scrub attire.
• Participate in on-call rotation and weekend shifts as required.
• Manage equipment and supplies necessary for interventional procedures.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in interventional radiology or cardiology.
• Current ARRT certification.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid state licensure (pending licenses not accepted).
• Ability to work effectively in an acute care, Magnet hospital environment.
• Proficiency with Epic electronic medical record system.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience working in acute care or Magnet hospital settings.
• Familiarity with scrub protocols for Labor & Delivery and Operating Room environments.

Special Considerations:

• Weekend availability is mandatory.
• On-call requirement includes one weekday shift per week (16:00 07:00) and one three-day weekend per month (Fri 16:00 07:00, Sat & Sun 07:00 07:00).
• Requested Time Off (RTO) must be disclosed at submission.
• Position involves working in an acute care hospital with 377 staffed beds.
• Free parking provided.

Scheduling:

• Shift pattern includes weekend shifts and on-call weekday shifts as specified.
• Start date is ASAP.
• Schedules are assigned to cover 16-hour weekday shifts and 24-hour weekend shifts.
