  • Experience with high-count fiber cables, ribbon fiber, and MPO/MTP connectivity.
  • Ability to read and interpret fiber network diagrams, construction prints, and splice documentation.
  • Strong understanding of fiber optic standards, testing procedures, and industry best practices.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting hyperscale or colocation data center environments.
  • Knowledge of structured cabling systems and data center infrastructure.
  • Certifications such as CFOT, FOA, BICSI, or manufacturer-specific fiber certifications.
  • Experience with large-scale production splicing programs involving thousands of fiber terminations.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance and acceptance testing procedures for mission-critical networks.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work on ladders, in overhead cable pathways, and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to distinguish fiber color codes and perform precision work requiring manual dexterity.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.

Success Factors

  • Consistently delivers high-quality splice work with minimal rework.
  • Maintains production goals on large-scale fiber deployment projects.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Works effectively in fast-paced data center construction environments while maintaining safety and quality standards.
