We are looking for a senior legal billing specialist on a permanent hire basis.   

Job Summary:  

Overview:  

We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Billing Specialist to join a fast-paced, deadline-driven finance team. This role is responsible for managing the full billing lifecycle, ensuring invoices are accurate, compliant with client requirements, and submitted in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and clients.

Responsibilities:  

• Prepare, review, and process a high volume of client invoices.
• Edit and update billing records based on stakeholder requests.
• Ensure invoices comply with client billing guidelines and contractual requirements.
• Compile and submit all required supporting documentation with invoices.
• Monitor invoice submissions and resolve billing discrepancies, rejections, reductions, and appeals.
• Respond to billing-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Generate reports and assist with special projects as needed.
• Maintain accurate billing records and documentation.
• Meet established deadlines while managing multiple priorities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of legal billing experience required.
• Experience working with billing software and e-billing platforms preferred.

Technology

• Experience with legal billing systems and electronic billing platforms preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
• Familiarity with business technology tools and willingness to learn new systems and processes.
• Ability to adapt to evolving technology and process improvements.
