Company: YouTube (a Google subsidiary)

Location: Headquarters – San Bruno, California, USA (remote candidates in India will be supported)

About YouTube

YouTube is a team‑oriented, creative workplace where every employee has a voice in the choices we make and the features we implement. Working in small, agile teams, we design, develop, and roll out key features and products on tight timelines – meaning the content you help craft today could be seen by millions of viewers tomorrow. Though we enjoy the corporate perks of being part of Google, the culture feels like a fast‑moving startup.

Job Responsibilities

  • Produce, edit, and finalize video content for YouTube’s internal and external communications, including product demos, promotional clips, and educational series.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, marketers, and engineers to ensure visual storytelling aligns with brand guidelines and project goals.
  • Implement motion graphics, titles, sound design, and color grading to enhance viewer engagement.
  • Manage a high volume of projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines and maintaining high quality standards.
  • Maintain an organized media library and ensure all assets are version‑controlled and properly archived.
  • Stay up‑to‑date with the latest editing software, video codecs, and industry trends to continuously improve production workflows.
  • Provide feedback and mentorship to junior editors and interns when needed.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Multimedia, Visual Communications, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Proficient in industry‑standard editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X, and After Effects.
  • Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, compression, and delivery specifications for web and mobile platforms.
  • Excellent eye for detail, timing, and storytelling with a solid grasp of pacing, rhythm, and visual composition.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams and communicate ideas clearly.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken); additional language skills are a plus.

Desired Experience

  • 2+ years of professional video editing experience, preferably in a fast‑paced tech or media environment.
  • Portfolio or reel showcasing a range of content styles – from short social clips to longer instructional videos.
  • Experience with motion graphics, visual effects, and basic 3‑D animation.
  • Familiarity with YouTube’s platform, community guidelines, and best practices for video optimization.
  • Knowledge of project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira) and version‑control systems (e.g., Git) is advantageous.

Salary & Benefits

  • Competitive annual salary paid in Indian Rupees (₹) – commensurate with experience and market standards.
  • Performance‑based bonuses and stock‑grant opportunities.
  • Health, dental, and vision coverage for employees and eligible dependents.
  • Generous paid time off, parental leave, and flexible working arrangements.
  • Professional development stipend, access to YouTube’s internal learning resources, and conference attendance support.
  • Employee wellness programs, gym membership discounts, and on‑site amenities at Google campuses (where applicable).
  • Opportunity to work on content that reaches millions of viewers worldwide and directly influence the creator ecosystem.

Application Process

If you’re passionate about storytelling through video and thrive in an innovative, collaborative environment, we encourage you to apply. Please submit your resume, a cover letter detailing your relevant experience, and a link to your portfolio or demo reel.

We look forward to seeing how you can help shape the future of video on YouTube!
